What happens

Gerald Wicks, the heir to the Wicks utilities fortune, lives under the strict rule of his formidable grandmother, Mrs. Leona Wicks, at her Pennsylvania estate. Gerald is being groomed as the perfect specimen, and his schedule is regulated down to the minute. Chafing against this regimen, he is startled when Mona Carter crashes her car through the estate fence. Her playful, mischievous manner unsettles him, and he finds himself drawn into conversation about running away and tilting at windmills. Errol Flynn and Joan Blondell star in this 1939 Lux Radio Theatre presentation, first broadcast on January 2, 1939, with May Robeson as Mrs. Wicks.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
