What happens

Count D'Altena insists that his niece, Marie, marry a man she does not love, but she resists. Facing this forced match, she persuades her maid, Marietta, to take her place on a ship bound for Louisiana carrying brides sent to the colony. Captain Richard Warrington escorts the group to New Orleans, where the arriving women are presented to the men of the colony. Marietta slips away during the night and soon finds herself in conflict with the captain. This is the Lux Radio Theatre broadcast of Naughty Marietta, first aired on June 12, 1944, starring Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
