What happens
In the summer of 1939, Mrs. Kay Miniver lives a comfortable life in the English village of Belden with her husband Clem, an architect, and their children Vin, Judy and Toby. Her small extravagances, such as a costly new hat and a new car, are shown alongside village life, including her friendship with the station master Mr. Ballard, who wishes to name a rose after her. Vin returns home from Oxford with new, strongly held opinions about class, and Carol Belden, granddaughter of Lady Belden, enters the village social scene. This Lux Radio Theatre broadcast, aired 6 December 1943, stars Greer Garson, Walter Pidgeon and Susan Peters, with Ensign Henry Wilcoxen.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
