What happens
Sergeant Michael Flanagan of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, played by Dick Powell, is posted to the Northwest, where he meets Kathy, a young woman from Boston who has come to live with her uncle John. Their courtship is brief, and soon they marry and set out together through the wilderness. Kathy struggles with the cold, the isolation and the hardships of frontier life, while Mike is drawn into the demands of his duty. This Lux Radio Theatre production, broadcast on April 24, 1950, adapts the Mrs. Mike story, with Gene Tierney in the title role.
The Northwest of Canada in the early 1900s, including a ranch, a frontier post and a remote wilderness cabin.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
