What happens
Esther Smith and her family live in St. Louis in 1903, as the city prepares for the World's Fair. Esther's sister Rose hopes a young man named Warren Sheffield will propose, and Esther becomes interested in the new neighbor, John Truett. The Smiths' household is busy with family gatherings, a party, and the everyday mischief of the younger sister, Tootie. This is the Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of Meet Me in St. Louis, broadcast on December 2, 1946, starring Judy Garland, Margaret O'Brien and Tom Drake. The guide covers only the first part of the story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
