What happens
Liza Elliott, the editor of a New York magazine, struggles with doubts about marrying her publisher, Kendall Nesbitt, now that his divorce is coming through. Her dreams and her sessions with psychoanalyst Dr. Brooks reveal fears rooted in her childhood. Her colleague Charlie Johnson clashes with her at the office, and she later spends an evening out with Randy Curtis, a Hollywood man who has begun to court her. Lux Radio Theatre presents this 1953 adaptation of Lady in the Dark, broadcast on February 16, 1953, with Judy Garland as Liza and John Lund as Charlie Johnson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
