What happens
Harry Pullham, a 46-year-old Bostonian who lives by a strict daily routine, is drawn into a reunion of his Harvard class and begins writing its class history. On a visit to New York, he meets Marvin Miles, a sophisticated advertising copywriter, and the two fall in love. Harry must weigh his settled life in Boston against the more exciting world Marvin represents. This is the Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of H.M. Pulham, Esquire, broadcast on July 13, 1942, starring Hedy Lamarr, Robert Young and Josephine Hutchinson, who had appeared in the MGM film. The episode covers the first two acts and ends partway through the second act.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
