What happens

Chris and Mary Price of Kintsun, Ohio, are about to leave on a second honeymoon when a telegram arrives announcing that Chris's old friend Joe Parker, a foreign correspondent, is returning home. Joe appears unexpectedly at their house before they depart. Lux Radio Theatre presents Guest Wife, a comedy starring Olivia de Havilland, Don Ameche and Dick Foran, with Sam Wood's film as the source. Joe reveals a deception involving a fictitious wife he invented to win time off from his employer, Mr. Worth, and Mary agrees to impersonate that wife in New York. Mix-ups with the bank, the newspapers and the trains follow as the couple's plans unravel.
