What happens
Nick Condon, editor of the English-language Tokyo Chronicle, publishes a story about a secret Japanese plan for conquest, and soon finds himself targeted by the Imperial police. Two of his acquaintances, Ollie Miller and Joe Cassell, become entangled in the affair, and a mysterious document connected to the plan is at the centre of the danger. The broadcast is a 1945 Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of the Warner Bros. film Blood on the Sun, presented with James Cagney and Sylvia Sidney in the leading roles, as the show's announcer introduces it. Condon and Iris Hilliard are drawn into a tense web of intrigue in Tokyo as the investigation deepens.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
