What happens
Johnny Mason, a junior lawyer at the New York firm of Doolittle, Doolittle, Smiley and Hutch, surprises his colleagues by marrying Jane after a chance meeting in Boston. Their brief honeymoon plans collide with the firm's pressing Higgins against Higgins case, and Johnny's widowed mother struggles to accept the sudden marriage. Judge Doolittle's rigid attitude puts further strain on the couple as they try to build a life together. This Lux Radio Theatre production, broadcast on December 17, 1945, stars James Stewart and Marsha Hunt, and is adapted from the screen film Made for Each Other.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
