What happens
In Ankara during the Second World War, a mysterious and well-dressed stranger approaches Moisich, an attache at the German embassy, offering British secret documents for 20,000 pounds. The stranger is a spy who insists on anonymity, and his demands escalate as he delivers photographs of classified papers. Moisich deals with him through a series of meetings, while the German ambassador and his officers weigh whether the information is genuine or a trap. Meanwhile, Countess Anna Staviska, a faded society figure, becomes entangled in the affair. Their business dealings are tense and private, and the British embassy begins its own investigation into the leak. Lux Radio Theatre's adaptation of the 20th Century Fox film Five Fingers, broadcast on October 13, 1952, stars James Mason and Pamela Colino.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
