What happens
Bill Seacroft, a young bank clerk living with his wife Ruth in her parents' suburban house, is unhappy about depending on his in-law's generosity. Judge Wilkins, Ruth's father, is a municipal judge who learns that his own son-in-law is preparing to run against him for a state senate seat. Bill's pride and his family ties pull him in opposing directions as the political rivalry grows between the two men. This is the second part of the Lux Radio Theatre production Dear Wife, broadcast on February 19, 1951, starring William Holden, Joan Caulfield, Edward Arnold and Mona Freeman. The story follows the household's tensions as the campaign divides the family.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
