This episode of the Lux Radio Theatre, broadcast on April 4, 1938, stars Barbara Stanwyck and Melvin Douglas, with Edward Arnold as guest producer.
A country cottage on the north shore of Long Island, New York, and later a hospital room.
Characters: Dr. Frederick Steele, Judith Hern, Dr. Parsons, Martha, Alice, Harvey
Listen for: Judith asking Steele whether he is hiding something from her, and his reply about her future.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
