What happens
Choya, a fugitive outlaw, takes on a forged identity in Arizona and Texas after a con artist named Troy has a birthmark tattooed on his shoulder to pass him off as a long-lost son. Lux Radio Theatre presents this 1952 episode, which stars Burt Lancaster, Charles Bickford and Nancy Gates. Choya poses as Richard Laverie Jr. on a Texas ranch run by Mr. Laverie and his wife, and he is soon accepted by the family. Ruth Laverie grows close to him, while his partner Troy presses him to play out the scheme. Troy, meanwhile, grows increasingly impatient with the arrangement.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
