What happens

Liz Erickson and her best friend Janet Shaw arrive at Midwestern University, staying at the Murray Arms Hotel during sorority rush week. Liz is drawn into the Tri-U sorority, which pledges her while Janet's place is uncertain. Joe Blake, an older student who served in the war, advises the freshmen on their courses and keeps running into them. The girls' bond is tested as the sorority selection process unfolds, and Liz faces pressure from her sorority sisters and her new acquaintances on campus. Starring Jean Crane as Liz and Dale Robertson as Joe, this adaptation of the 20th Century Fox film was broadcast on the Lux Radio Theatre on February 4, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
