What happens

Johnny Ramirez, a young Mexican-American lawyer in Los Angeles, struggles to build a practice among his poor neighbors while resenting the privileged lawyers who look down on him. His courtroom outburst ends his legal career, and he leaves for the border. This Lux Radio Theatre production stars Donald Woods, Joan Bennett and Claire Trevor in an adaptation of the Warner Bros. film Bordertown. The story follows Johnny's rise and fall as he tries to find power and position, along with the two women whose lives become tangled with his.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
