What happens

In 1895 Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Cayley sisters Edna and Charlotte prepare for a double wedding at their engagement party. Edna meets Sam Gladney, a flour-mill owner from Texas, and they feel an immediate connection. Charlotte's future is complicated by a discovery about her origins, while Edna and Sam build a life together and face their own sorrows. This is the Lux Radio Theatre production of Blossoms in the Dust, first broadcast on February 16, 1942, starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon, with Felix Bressart. The story is drawn from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
