What happens

Andre Cassilo, a successful playwright, and Dr. Jane Alexander, a physician, are newly married and find their marriage strained by their clashing views on love. Andre believes love is logical and can be explained by science, while Jane sees it as unreasonable and emotional. After a dramatic faint at a first-night performance, their acquaintance grows through a series of encounters, including a hospital consultation and a country lodge visit. Their marriage begins with a honeymoon cut short by Jane's hospital duties, and by the time they return to the city, they have set up separate apartments in the same building. The episode is an adaptation of the 1942 film Appointment for Love, presented on the Lux Radio Theatre on February 23, 1942, with Manaloy and Charles Boyer in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
