What happens

Postal Inspector Al Goddard, played by William Holden, investigates the death of fellow federal agent Harry Gruber, whose body was found in an alley in La Porte, Indiana. Goddard learns that a nun, Sister Augustine, played by Colleen Gray, saw men with Gruber the night he died, and he tracks her through the city of Gary. Goddard questions a mail driver and presses his suspicions about a robbery plan tied to a money transfer between two railroad stations. The episode is the Lux Radio Theatre presentation of Appointment with Danger, first broadcast on January 19, 1953, and this account covers the story as far as the second act.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
