What happens
Lum and Abner run a bakery in Pine Ridge, and Lum is eager to sell bread and cakes beyond the town. Their first product, prune bread, was a failure, and Abner is unhappy about it. Lum has gone to the county seat to look for orders, and Cedric drops by the store while Abner minds it. Grandpa Spears keeps calling the store with facts from his almanac, and a call from the Hudson brothers sounds like a large order.
