What happens
Squire Skimp, the shrewd landlord of Pine Ridge, offers to rent the general store to Lum and Abner for a monthly fee, and the two partners weigh the deal. Their talk turns to the terms of the lease, including payment in advance and what happens to the proceeds and property. Lum and Abner are the lead characters of this Lum and Abner episode, which originally aired on March 15, 1940, on NBC, Mutual, CBS and ABC, with Chester Lauck, Norris Goff and Lurene Tuttle in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
