What happens

Lum and Abner try to get their store in Pine Ridge running again after a disappointing first week of business. Lum has taken in a crate of rabbits and a mule, and the cost of feeding them worries the partners. Abner has been talking about a dummy in the store window, and the two of them dream of putting a banker-like figure to work as a credit manager to help them handle customers. Their plans lead to arguments over who owns a grandfather-style mule and what it is worth. The episode is part of the Lum and Abner series, first broadcast on June 2, 1941, with Chester Lauck and Norris Goff in the lead roles and Lurene Tuttle also appearing.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
