What happens

Lum and Abner are drawing up plans for the proposed Wonderful World Apartments, a project meant to house every family in Pine Ridge in modern, rent-free apartments. Lum explains the building's unusual layout to Abner, including an attic placed on the bottom floor and a basement in the middle. Cedric arrives wanting an apartment with a pinball machine, but he has no house to trade in, which the partners say is required. Cedric then sets up a tent on a small strip of ground he owns in front of the store, hoping to swap it for an apartment and claim it as his own place to live.

Pine Ridge, a small community whose general store is run by Lum and Abner, with the Wonderful World Apartments project under discussion.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
