What happens
Lum and Abner set out on a safari to capture Ervin the lion, which has been loose around Pine Ridge. Lum, who has been reading a book on big game hunting in Africa, directs the hunt from a tent at the edge of town, while Abner grows restless and hungry. Cedric is sent out to beat the brush and search for the animal. Abner and Lum argue over the rules of their hunting method and over the food they brought along. When Cedric reports tracks leading into a black rock cave, the hunters must decide how to proceed, and Cedric goes inside to look for the animal.
