What happens

Lum and Abner, the two lovable old characters from the country store in Jot 'Em Down, have been in trouble with the law after running a post office without a license. Lum and Abner have hidden from the authorities, and Abner has been jailed in Mexico, Missouri. The partners argue over the blame, then reconcile and turn to the store's money troubles. They search the county seat paper for furniture to sell and find an advertisement that offers a possible solution to their financial problems.

Characters: Lum, Abner

Listen for: The partners' bickering over the post office trouble, and the newspaper advertisement they find for a potential money-making scheme

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
