What happens
Luigi Basko, an Italian-American antique dealer, struggles to keep his shop afloat and considers buying a television set to draw customers. His friend Pascuali warns him that television is a passing fad, while a cash register salesman and a neighbor both have their own ideas about Luigi's business. Luigi borrows money, and the chewing gum sponsor's announcer closes the episode. Life with Luigi was a comedy series created by Sid Howard and starring J. Carroll Naish. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
