What happens
Luigi Vasco, a young Italian immigrant in Chicago, misses the friendliness of his small hometown, where neighbors greet one another. At Hudson Street, where people live side by side but barely know each other, Luigi proposes a block party to mark the street's fiftieth anniversary. Luigi takes charge of organizing the celebration, and he hopes to bring the neighbors together. Pasquale and Schultz are rivals whose feud threatens the plans, and Luigi must find a way to keep the party on track. Life with Luigi is a radio comedy, first broadcast on May 1, 1949, starring J. Carrol Naish as Luigi and Alan Reed as Pasquale.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
