What happens
Luigi Basko, a recent Italian immigrant in Chicago, receives an electric bill for twenty-seven dollars that he believes is far too high. Worried, he consults his friend Pasquale and his night-school teacher, Miss Spalding, who suggest he contact the company. Life with Luigi is a comedy series created by Sigh Howard and starring J. Carrol Naish, with Alan Reed as Pasquale Sully. In this episode, Luigi writes a letter to his mother in Italy describing his troubles with American electricity and his fears about the bill, while his efforts to sort the matter out lead him through several comic misadventures.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
