What happens
Luigi Vasco, a recent immigrant running an antique business in Chicago, finds a diamond engagement ring in front of his store and decides to advertise it so the owner can reclaim it. His neighbor Pasquale, who keeps pressing him to marry his daughter Rosa, sees the ring and uses it to tease and pressure Luigi, even persuading him to slip it onto Rosa's finger. Luigi soon learns the ring was taken in a robbery, and a stranger arrives demanding it back within fifteen minutes. The series is Life with Luigi, a comedy first broadcast on November 9, 1948, starring Jay Carroll Naish.

Listen for: Luigi's dictated newspaper ad and Pasquale's attempts to keep the ring on Rosa's finger.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
