What happens
Luigi Basco, a newly arrived Italian in America, is taken to eat at Pinkley's restaurant by his friend and employer Pasquale, who worries about his stomach. Luigi is served a poor minestrone and finds it nothing like his mother's, so he decides to lodge a complaint. Life with Luigi is a comedy series, and this episode first aired on May 29, 1951. J. Carroll Naish plays Luigi and Ellen Reed plays Rosa. Luigi writes home to his mother about his restaurant trouble, and he presses the matter with the staff and then with the management of the restaurant chain.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
