What happens
Luigi Basco, a newly arrived immigrant, is finishing night school in America and preparing for a final examination in history. His classmates Schultz and Howard, and the teacher Miss Spalding, are part of the class. Luigi's friend Pasquale mocks his cramming and interrupts his study with muddled dates. The students grow anxious about the test and make a plan to pass signals and answers during it. Mr. Hein, a strict teacher, is set to supervise the examination, and the class worries about being separated. The transcript ends before the examination's outcome is reached.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
