What happens
Junior Riley, a thirteen-year-old, is torn about taking part in his school play because it requires him to kiss a girl, and his father Chester Riley tries to persuade him. Chester recalls his own school days, when he was a shy high-school student who shared a play with his friend Peggy Parker and was rivalled by the showy Hugo Hockinson. The Life of Riley, a comedy series of the Blue Network and NBC, is heard here with William Bendix as Riley, and the episode was first broadcast on November 15, 1947. Paula Winslowe, Hans Conried and Alan Reed also appear in the cast.

Listen for: Chester's account of his school play and the kissing rehearsal scene.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
