What happens
Chester Riley's daughter Blyley has a boyfriend, Simon Banderhopper, whom Riley dislikes. Riley helps Simon land a job selling insurance, and Simon pressures him into buying an accident policy. When Riley injures his ankle in a pool hall while claiming he hurt himself at the plant, the policy's terms and his lie come under scrutiny. The episode is from the series The Life of Riley, originally broadcast on March 16, 1946, on the Blue Network and ABC and NBC, with William Bendix as Riley, Paula Winslowe, Hans Conried and Alan Reed.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
