What happens
Chester A. Riley, a factory worker, is inspired by a movie about a self-made millionaire and dreams of starting his own business. His daughter Babs is courted by Simon Vanderhopper, a young fish-market worker whom Riley dislikes. When Riley finds a bank statement showing seven thousand dollars in Simon's name, he decides to take Simon on as a business partner. The story is part of The Life of Riley, a radio comedy first broadcast on January 18, 1947, starring William Bendix as Riley.

Listen for: Riley's plans for a business partnership with Simon, and the bank statement that prompts them
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
