What happens
Riley, a middle-aged factory worker, grows anxious that he is getting old when his wife Peg and friends tease him about his age and his slowing pace. At work, his supervisor Hawkins has him teach young Ellis his job, a sign that Riley may be replaced. Riley dyes his hair, then in the supervisor's office he alters his employment record to claim he is younger. The Life of Riley, starring William Bendix as Riley, with Paula Winslowe, Hans Conried and Alan Reed, first aired on April 6, 1951.

Listen for: Riley's alterations to his employment record and his mounting argument with Peg about his age.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
