What happens
Chester A. Riley worries when his son Junior stops eating, sleeping, and keeping up with his schoolwork. Peg, Riley's wife, is convinced something is wrong, while Riley treats it lightly and tries to talk to the boy himself. Junior confesses that he hears bells whenever he sees a certain person, but he refuses to say who she is. The Life of Riley is a comedy series, and this 1950 episode first aired on April 7 on the Blue Network/ABC and NBC, with William Bendix in the title role and Paula Winslowe as Peg.

Characters: Chester A. Riley, Peg, Junior, Digby O'Dell, Mrs. Whitaker
Listen for: Riley's attempts to explain love to Junior, and the bells that Junior and Riley both hear
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
