What happens
Chester Riley, a California family man, believes a secret fertilizer he made for his vegetables has caused a rabbit to grow to enormous size, and he worries about his own growth after eating some of the same carrots. His daughter Babs and her boyfriend Simon, who is trying to win over Riley, become involved in the Easter party Riley is organizing. Riley's wife Peg and friend Digger try to calm his fears and make sense of what he has seen in the garden. The episode is part of The Life of Riley, first broadcast on April 20, 1946, starring William Bendix as Riley, with Paula Winslowe, Hans Conried and Alan Reed in the cast.

Listen for: Riley's growing alarm over the giant rabbit in his garden and the strange feeling that he is growing too.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
