What happens
Rita Morton hires detective George Valentine to investigate Calma the Mystic, a spiritualist who has gained influence over Rita's wealthy aunt Emma Breckenridge through séances. Rita believes Calma is a charlatan preying on her aunt's grief over her deceased husband. George and his assistant Miss Brooks attend a séance at the aunt's home where Calma attempts to prove his supernatural powers by revealing a secret message the late Mr. Breckenridge wrote to his wife.
The séance takes place at Mrs. Emma Breckenridge's home in River Park in the present day, with an earlier scene at George Valentine's office.
Characters: George Valentine, Miss Brooks, Rita Morton, Pat Breckenridge, Mrs. Emma Breckenridge, John Chadwick, Martha Hadley, Calma the Mystic

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
