What happens

George Valentine receives a mysterious letter signed by Santa Claus requesting help recovering stolen toys from the North Pole display at Gumperts department store. When George investigates, he discovers that Joe Smith, who plays Santa at the store, has been pressured by a small-time crook named Mo Dickerson to let him take over the role. The theft turns out to be connected to a larger criminal scheme involving a planned robbery of the store's substantial daily receipts.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
