What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is summoned to remote Yak, Montana to investigate wealthy client John Turner Whitaker, who has vanished on a hunting trip with his daughter Valerie and son-in-law Lou Larson. The search party finds Lou Larson alone, barely conscious on horseback, and as he regains awareness, he must reveal what happened to the others in the snow-covered wilderness.
