What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator for Tri-Western Life, travels to Corpus Christi, Texas, to look into the death of John R. Peterson, whose heart attack may not have been natural. The policy names his nephew Sterling Peterson as beneficiary, and Sterling has vanished. Johnny speaks with Jack Price at the insurer, the brothers' acquaintance Doug Johnstone, a stockbroker friend, and Sterling's landlady, piecing together the missing man's debts and hasty departure. The episode is part of the long-running CBS Radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, with Bob Bailey in the lead role, and this installment originally aired on January 10, 1960.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
