What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator from Kansas City, travels to Hollywood to look into the death of Toby Drake, a young actress whose policy he has been hired to examine. Her agent, Phil Gardner, is nearby when the body is found, and Johnny soon learns that the case is connected to a second strangled girl, Stella Martin. Anonymous threats keep arriving at his hotel, and each new message names another woman. Johnny questions the people closest to the dead girls and tries to make sense of the pattern before another victim turns up. This is the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar radio drama from CBS Radio, first broadcast on January 16, 1953, with John Lund in the title role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
