What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is asked by his old flame Martha Mayfield to escort her to her son Edgar's wedding in Greensboro, North Carolina. Martha insists on bringing the Shankar Diamond, a nearly priceless gem reputed to bring good luck, which has attracted the attention of jewel thieves in the past. As they prepare to fly to the wedding, Johnny suspects Martha knows more about a potential threat to the diamond than she's telling him.
