What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is called to New York to help recover items stolen in a Rochester burglary six months earlier. A woman wearing the stolen mink coat is found shot and dumped from a car near an apartment building, and a mysterious well-dressed man named Bill who drove a black Cadillac had been seeing her before the shooting.
New York City, including an apartment building where the victim was found and the police station.
Characters: Johnny Dollar, Sergeant Papey, Eileen Madden, Mrs. Ethel Stromberg, Bill, Sergeant Walter
Listen for: The investigation into the mysterious shooting victim and the connection to the stolen jewelry; the description of the well-dressed man named Bill and his black Cadillac; Eileen Madden's dying condition at the hospital.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
