What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator, receives a cryptic call from his fishing friend Red Barrett, who hints at a tragedy brewing at Lake Mojave Resort in Arizona. When Johnny arrives, Red has vanished from his room, which has been ransacked and shows signs of blood on the floor. Buster Faver, the resort's general factotum, and the manager Ham Pratt are unsure what has happened. Johnny begins to doubt that Red was murdered, noticing that Red's fishing gear is missing. The series is Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, first broadcast on CBS Radio on December 20, 1959, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
