What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is assigned to deliver a pair of valuable antique pistols worth $20,000 to a collector named Bride. The pistols, 18th-century flintlocks from a Boston gun shop, have a dark history tied to murder. When Dollar delivers them, the Brides react with fear and confusion, and the gun shop mysteriously closes. Then Dollar receives a blackmail demand involving photographs of the pistols.

Boston and Hartford, Connecticut; includes a gun shop, apartment, and the Bride residence.

Characters: Johnny Dollar, Bill Cartman, Bonnie, Arthur Worthing, Mrs. Bride, Jack Bride

Listen for: The mystery of why the Brides fear the pistols and who is attempting blackmail; the significance of the engraved names on the historic weapons.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
