What happens
Johnny Dollar investigates a series of armed robberies targeting delivery trucks for the Paterson Transport Company in Kansas City. Six hold-ups in a week have netted over $3,700, with drivers beaten so badly that one is hospitalized. When police set up surveillance on the trucks, the pattern shifts dramatically—the next likely target, driver Milton Spears, is killed in a mysterious truck accident before the robber can strike.
Kansas City, Missouri, with focus on the Paterson Transport Company, police headquarters at 1125 Locust Street, and various delivery routes around the city.
Characters: Johnny Dollar, Lieutenant Herman, Sergeant Grayson, Milton Spears, Mrs. Robinson
Listen for: The mysterious death of Milton Spears, the next robbery target, in a truck accident that may not be what it appears. A witness spots a large man limping away from the crash scene.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
