What happens
Johnny Dollar meets with his insurance company contact Ted Newberry, who arranges for Johnny to see Pandora Peters, a glamorous and wealthy woman married to inventor Philip Truesdale. Pandora reveals she has been receiving threatening notes for two months, starting after her husband patented an electronic battery invention. The notes quote scripture and demand the invention be given to the world rather than profited from by one person, with increasingly violent threats against Pandora's life.
Ted Newberry's office at Union States Casualty Insurance Company, and references to the Peters residence at Markly Drive and Philip's factory building
Characters: Johnny Dollar, Ted Newberry, Pandora Peters, Philip Truesdale
Listen for: The nature of the threatening notes and their escalating demands; details about Philip Truesdale's electronic battery invention; the mysterious golden skull charm from Pandora's grandfather's California nugget; why the police stopped providing Philip with protection.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
