What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is called to a small town to investigate the death of Neil Breer, a 26-year-old man who died suddenly at a service station. A local doctor has written to the insurance company expressing doubts about the official heart attack diagnosis, suggesting the possibility of poisoning. Dollar begins interviewing the doctor, the coroner, and the victim's widow to determine whether the death was truly from natural causes.

A small town (name withheld per company request), including a doctor's office, coroner's office, service station, and the Breer home.

Characters: Johnny Dollar, Dr. Henry Richards, Guy Hamill, Wesley Bertrand, Paula Wilson, Mrs. Neil Breer

Listen for: The investigation into whether Neil Breer died from a heart attack or was poisoned; Johnny Dollar's tense confrontations with the resistant coroner over ordering an autopsy; the widow's emotional reaction to the investigation.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
