What happens

Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator, looks into an attack on Dorothy Blair, a fashion model whose face is insured for a large sum. Blair was struck on the head in her apartment and believes the fashion photographer Jerry Dunsmuir was responsible. Dollar goes to Dunsmuir's studio, but finds it locked, and soon learns that Dunsmuir has been found dead in the river. Working with Detective Lieutenant Al Rico, Dollar begins to connect the attack on Blair with an unsolved murder in the city. The episode is part of the long-running CBS radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, first broadcast on November 3, 1957, and stars Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
